Feature complete and live (mostly)
Zeuge is (finally) up and running with a feature set that will make it immediately useful to people trying to enrich their collection of photos, memories, etc.
I started building Zeuge because I inhertied ~50k scanned photos that my father took over the years. The photos go back to the 70's and they are a fascinating glimpse into the life of my family; flood after flood of nostalgia and long-forgotten memories.
Me a long time ago yelling about metadata
I take photos myself and use Lightroom to catalog and organize them. After importing the scanned photos the lack of metadata became annoying; I have no idea when or where they were taken and in many cases I have no idea who's in them.
Zeuge lets me send my family and friends a link with which they can leave text, audio or video memories on images. Their responses are then transcribed and details are extracted using an LLM and mapped to IPTC metadata fields.
As for next steps I'm working on generating slideshows with voice-overs/video-overs and more.
Currently Zeuge exports images with updated metadata, XMP sidecar files and there's a PDF Book editor/exporter which is almost done and available via invite while I put the finishing touches on it.
- the help section has a lot of details on how exactly everything works
- signup if you want to try it out!
Let me know what you think and what other features you'd like to see.
