How it works
A few simple steps. No technical setup required.

Scan and upload
Drag RAW scans, TIFFs, or JPEGs into a Zeuge batch. Any image format works — including film scans, digitized slides, and large-format TIFFs.

Record voice notes — or invite someone who knows
Tap record and speak what you know about each frame. Or send a private link to someone who was there. They contribute on any device, no account needed.

AI extracts the structure
Names, places, and dates are pulled from your narration automatically. Review, edit, and fill in anything the AI missed. You stay in control of every field.

Export your archive
Download XMP sidecars, export IPTC-embedded files, share a web gallery, or generate a print-ready photo book. Your metadata travels with your images, wherever they go.

Common questions
What image formats can I upload?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, HEIC, and camera RAW files including DNG, NEF, CR2, and ARW. Maximum 50 MB per file — ideal for high-resolution film scans.
Can I invite someone else to narrate photos I don't know?
Yes. Generate a private contributor link and send it to anyone — a parent, a sibling, an old friend. They click through on any browser, no sign-up required. You receive their narration and the extracted metadata.
Will the metadata embed in the original files?
Yes. Zeuge can write IPTC/XMP metadata directly into your image files. You can also export XMP sidecars for non-destructive workflows in Lightroom.
Does my archive stay private?
Yes. Each batch has its own private link that only you generate and share. Nothing is publicly indexed. Only people you personally send the link to can see the photos.
Can I export a printed photo book from my scans?
Yes. Zeuge's photo book export generates a print-ready PDF with your scans, stories, names, and dates laid out automatically. Order from any print-on-demand service.
Give your archive the metadata it deserves.
Scanning is the first step. Without context, your images are just pixels. Add the names, dates, and stories — then export with everything embedded.
