How to Resume Your Session
Audience: Contributors — people who want to come back to a collection and continue adding memories after leaving the page.
Zeuge saves your progress automatically. If you need to take a break or you accidentally closed the page, you can pick up right where you left off.
How Session Saving Works
When you open your invite link, Zeuge saves your session in your browser. This means:
- You don't need to log in — your session is tied to the link you were given.
- Your completed memories are saved immediately after each recording or text entry.
- Draft voice recordings made during a carousel session are saved as you go, even before you tap "Done."
Resuming on the Same Device
- Open the same invite link you used before. This is the original link you received from the organizer (e.g.,
https://zeuge.io/c/abc123xyz). - The app will recognize your session automatically and bring you back to the welcome screen.
- From the welcome screen, choose your recording mode and continue. Photos you've already responded to will be marked so you can see where you left off.

Tip: If you bookmarked or saved the link, you can use that. The link is the same every time — there's no time limit on using it (unless the organizer set an expiration date).
Resuming on a Different Device
Because your session is stored in your browser on the device you used originally, switching to a different device will start a new session — you won't see your previous responses marked in the carousel.
However, your previous responses are not lost — they are already saved in the archive. The organizer can see all your contributions regardless of which device you used.
If you want to continue on a different device, simply open the same invite link on the new device and add more memories. Zeuge will track all your contributions together.

What If the Link Has Expired?
The organizer may have set an expiration date on your invite. If you open the link after it has expired, you'll see a message like:
"This invite link has expired."
In this case, contact the person who invited you and ask them to send a new link or extend the expiration.
What If the Collection Is No Longer Accepting Contributions?
If the organizer has closed the collection, you won't be able to add new memories even if your link is still valid. The page will indicate this. Your previously submitted memories are still in the archive.
Common Questions
I cleared my browser history or cookies. Can I still resume? Yes — because your session is tied to the link itself (not a browser cookie), opening the same link again will restore your access. You may not see your previous responses highlighted in the carousel, but your saved memories are still safe in the archive.
I lost the link. Can I get it again? Contact the person who invited you. They can look up your invite link and resend it.
Can I use the app on my phone and on my computer? Yes — you can open the same link on any device. Each device will show a fresh session view, but all your contributions are combined in the organizer's archive.
I see photos I already recorded, but they don't show a checkmark. Is my data lost? If you're on a different device or cleared your browser data, the checkmarks won't appear — but your recordings are still saved. Check with the organizer to confirm your responses are showing up on their end.
